How does RFID Work?
The magic of RFID starts with the labels (” RFID” “Radio Frequency Identification”). On the surface the labels look and feel like normal labels, but inside there is a super small RFID chip that can be read wirelessly with RFID readers from distances of up to 60 feet.
Assuming staff already print labels for your inventory, the best part about using RFID technology is that organizations don’t have to change any of existing process. Staff can continue to print labels as they do now, with only a small difference: the newly printed inventory labels are now RFID labels.
Simply replace your non-RFID labels and printer with RFID labels and printer, and staff are ready for the magic of RFID.
How to Print / Encode RFID Tags using our RFID Solution
Unlike most other solutions, you don’t need to use a 3rd party label printing software.” You can Print or Encode RFID tags on the fly using our RFID System, or via your organizations existing ERP / WHM / POS software.
Print RFID Labels from Our Cloud Software Dashboard
Print RFID tags, by entering an item number and clicking the print button

Print RFID Labels from your existing Organisation Software
Data Scan will install its propriety RFID printer software on your computer, which will enable your existing ERP, WHM, or POS software to print RFID labels using Bartender or any other similar software.

Super-Fast & Accurate Inventory
Once you switch to RFID, doing inventory becomes easy. You no longer have to shut down and get a crew of 10 people to do inventory; instead, do inventory as often as desired. Click the Start button and scan in your inventory wirelessly with your mobile handheld RFID scanner for 30 minutes to a few hours. Then, push a button to upload to your RFID inventory dashboard, compare, inspect, and address any discrepancies, and with a push of a button push your inventory into your POS / ERP / WHM to correct its quantities.

Specific Asset location on your Digital Floor Plan
User can search the item by entering an ID, name, description, or they can simply browse and filter by zone, category and more. User will be able to see the item location on their dashboard floor plan that can help them find the item instantly.

Integration ready with you POS or ERP System
In our RFID system you can seamlessly sync the date from your existing POS or ERP system. Once you have system up and running, then, with a push of a button push your inventory or count into your POS / ERP / WHM to correct its quantities.

RFID Transfer-Slips
Creating transfer-slips between locations is now made super easy and fast with RFID technology. Simply scan-in an inventory wirelessly with your mobile handheld RFID scanner, select the destination location and submit. Our RFID software automatically creates the transfer-slip for you in your system and allows you to print a transfer packing-list. In the destination location, the receiver uses a mobile handheld RFID scanner to pull up the transfer-slip, and quickly in seconds receives and validates the received goods, and quickly highlight any missing items, and emails management if anything is missing.

Quickly Locate Specific Item
With RFID technology is becomes super easy and fast to find any inventory item. You can find an item wirelessly using the handheld RFID scanner Geiger / proximity finder, or look on the cloud dashboard map.

Theft / Unauthorized Alerts!
Our RFID solution is 100% compatible with Fixed RFID readers, thus you can install Fixed RFID readers at entrance / exit points to monitor incoming and outgoing inventory, and additionally receive SMS / Email / Audio alerts if inventory leaves the premise that should not have. (for example if an item is sold on the POS, it would be whitelisted to not set off an alert.)

Hands-Free Inventory & Movement Detection & Logging
Fixed RFID readers can be deployed in various areas, and especially chock points to automatically detect, tracking, and log inventory locations. For example, in a retail or warehouse use case, the system would automatically know if the items were in the back-stock or the sales floor, or warehouse 1 or warehouse 2. Additionally Fixed RFID readers can be installed in various areas, to repeatedly read inventory real-time all the time, and log asset movement.

Data Scan Offers Below three types of RFID Scanning Solution
Hand-Held RFID Solution

The key benefit of RFID system is that it enables inventory cycle counts to become 2800% faster than any other count method. It is the simplest, fastest, and most cost-effective way to attain this benefit. Simply start applying RFID labels and use hand-held RFID scanners as often as desired to count the inventory. The inventory counts can be synced into any POS; the POS quantities can be downloaded into the RFID for comparison before being synced back into the POS software.
Hands-Free Inventory Movement Detection

Once any organization has adapted to using RFID for conducting inventory using hand-held RFID scanning, the next evolution for the technology is added. Some organisations also prefer to cover the entire warehouse or shop floor space with sensors that can live track items inside and provide real-time mapping as things move around, which is desirable for many organisations. In this way, inventory tracking movements are recorded without any human intervention.
Hybrid Hand-Held RFID + Hands-Free RFID

Fixed RFID readers can be deployed in various areas, and especially check points to automatically detect, tracking, and log inventory locations. For example, in a retail or warehouse use case, the system would automatically know if the items are in the back-stock or the sales floor, or warehouse 1 or warehouse 2. Additionally Fixed RFID readers can be installed in various areas, to repeatedly read inventory real-time all the time, and log asset movement.
